Partnerships

We work with the following organisations to provide better services, representation and networking.

National Association of Local Councils (NALC)

Provides a national voice for local councils across England, campaigning on their behalf to raise awareness of their work and provide them with a range of services to support their needs. These services include lobbying the national government to get the best legislative deal for local councils; providing specialist technical, legal and financial advice to member councils; organizing events for member councils; providing up to date advice on national and legal developments; and sharing good practice between specific local council networks on a range of service areas. Through their membership of BALC, councils have access to NALC.

South East Region County Association Forum (SERCAF)

Comprises representatives of the eight County Associations in the South East. Kent, East and West, Sussex, Surrey, Hampshire, Isle of Wight, Berkshire and Oxfordshire. Meetings are held on a quarterly basis to review and discuss relevant topics such as Government white papers and coordinates its responses with NALC back to the relevant people in Government.
